Your drug formulary was designed by a team of physicians and pharmacists to provide you with safe and effective medication choices. Download the RxSteward app and click on “My Meds” to browse the formulary. Navigate pharmacy locator, deductibles and other benefit information via “Benefits and Claims information” If you have questions or concerns, feel free to schedule time with a Clinician via the schedule function.

We want to make medication access easy for you. Northwind Pharmacy can deliver your generic, brand, and specialty medications directly to your home. For most plans, Northwind Pharmacy reduces your cost and provides the equivalent of one free month of medications.
You can also access the PBM Services and CommuniCare Preventative Medication list with over 250 medications exclusively through Northwind Pharmacy! As of 3/11/2024, this list has been expanded to also include diabetic medications and supplies at reduced copays!

Specialty Pharmacy Concierge
A team of healthcare providers who will work with you, your doctor, pharmacy, PBM, and specialty drug manufacturer to locate alternative funding for expensive specialty medications and ensure timely delivery.
If you are prescribed an expensive specialty medication, this program may be able to help you. The Pharmacy Concierge program is offered by CommuniCare to work on your behalf. We try to eliminate drug cost by locating alternative funding. Enrolling in the program may save you thousands of dollars every month.

Prior Authorization
Prior authorization helps patients receive the right prescription and the one that is most appropriate for their condition while being least likely to cause serious side effects. Prior authorization also helps ensure that the latest guidelines and most up-to-date recommendations are being taken into consideration as part of the treatment plan. Failure to obtain pre-authorization could result in a higher payment amount or lack of coverage for the medication. To start the review process, the prescribing physician (or their designee) should call the Clinical Team at 1-866-490-3636 Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST).
