Northwind Adds Another Health Strategy Luminary

INDIANAPOLIS, October 29, 2020 – Northwind Pharmaceuticals has announced the hiring of Steve Zetzl, PharmD, as Vice President of Client Strategy.

“Steve joins Northwind at a pivotal moment in our growth,” said CEO Phillip Berry. “Over the last 14 years, I have worked closely with Steve as he developed robust employer health strategies, built strong relationships with key partner organizations, and executed on multi-year plans to make a difference for his clients throughout Central Indiana. His strong leadership skills, broad understanding of the employer health space, and ability to blend business and clinical perspectives make him a tremendous asset for Northwind and our clients.”

Zetzl joins Northwind after a nearly 26 year career at Community Health Network, where he spent the last 10 years leading Community Employer Health, a unit that includes the health system’s Occupational Health, Health Promotion Services, Infusion, Employer Onsite Health and Wellness Centers, Employee Health and School Nursing Partnerships.

A 1994 graduate of Butler University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Zetzl started his career as a Pharmacy Resident at Methodist Hospital before joining Community as a Pharmacist. Moving on to lead Community’s Pharmacy Managed Care Team in 1997, Zetzl developed expertise in the complexities of pharmacy benefits and nurtured the Network’s model and approach in supporting plans and patients throughout Indiana. The last ten years of his career focused on the development of direct employer strategies for managing costs and improving health outcomes for employees as well as the delivery of services related to those strategies.

“After a long and fulfilling career at Community Health Network,” said Zetzl. “I am excited to join Northwind and leverage my experience in a new direction. Northwind’s high value, high integrity approach is a great fit with my priorities and I see tremendous opportunity to leverage the company’s pharmaceutical platform to drive costs down for employers while improving health outcomes for employees. High Impact Rx is a way of life at Northwind and I’m already loving the energy around what we’re doing in the market. I see great things ahead.”
